Things Every Women Should Have in Her Closet

In our last post we hope we did cover basic men’s wardrobe essentials and now ladies it’s time to upgrade yours! Well, how will you describe your wardrobe? Is it full of crisp office wear or the fusion of modern-ethnic wear or simply jeans and t-shirts?

Women have the luxury of a lot of options when it comes to their wardrobe but having more options usually means that your wardrobe is going to be flooded with clothes. You don’t have to have a stuffed walk-in closet loaded with all the trendiest clothes, shoes, and accessories in order to be relevant. All you really need are the basic things to flaunt your style and elegance.

 1) T-shirt

Is there anything more versatile? Whether you layer this perfect T-shirt under a sweater or over a tank top, tuck it into a skirt or let it hang free with a pair of denim cutoffs, one thing is for sure: Nothing is more essential to your closet than this trusty staple.

2) Shirts

How many tops look sophisticated with a pencil skirt, formal with trousers, and effortlessly relaxed matched with slouchy denim? We can think of only: Shirts. Yes, shirts are a way to go. Pick solid plain colours, florals, plaids or striped patterns, they will compliment you on every attire.

3) Denims

Jeans/denims will never go out of style, isn’t it? Needless to say, one pair of those perfect denims that fits you like a second skin goes will go with all your looks. They are your bread and butter for every season and every shape. Try out some new styles- like the ripped jeans or stone washed faded blue jeans or boyfriend jeans.

4) Kurtis

For the days when jeans won’t do, Wrap,  Sheath or Fit & Flare style dress is a perfect alternative to pick. Have at least one perfectly fitting in any of these styles and get ready for your casual outings and flaunt your style.

7) Bottom-wear

Even if you are not a self-proclaimed “pants” girl, having these essential styles in your wardrobe will make you comfortable and look fabulous. Women have endless options when it comes to bottom wear: Trousers, Dhoti Pants, Chudidars, Shorts, Skirts, Palazzo and so on. Owning these different types of bottom-wear you will have the right balance with the exact amount of quirk, style, and simplicity.

8) Footwear

Flats may have had a major revival this year, but there’s no escaping that heels are still a strong must-have. One pair in a neutral hue like black or gray will take you from the boardroom to the bar with ease. And if you like to flaunt more, having a pair of sports/casual/formal shoes is the way to go.

9) Accessories

With changing times, the hectic life of a modern woman does not permit her the luxury of going through the solah shringar ritual on a daily basis. Having small studs and elegant necklace will go on every attire you choose. Other accessories one should have closest is simple handbag/clutch, scarf or stole and sunglasses.

10) Make-up

The correct makeup kit is one that best incorporates all these four aspects of a woman’s personality. So keep it simple with kajal, lipstick, linear, eyeshadow and compact powder that gives subtle look overall.
